Sell Your Creations on the Roblox Marketplace

Turn your PromptBlox items into real Robux income. Design it, upload it, earn from every sale.

Every item you make in PromptBlox can be sold on the Roblox Avatar Marketplace. Millions of players browse the marketplace every day looking for unique clothing and accessories. Your designs can reach all of them.

Here's what you can sell:

  • Clothing — T-shirts, shirts, and pants
  • Accessories — Hats, back items, neck items, and more

Selling Clothing (Easiest — Start Here)

Clothing is the fastest way to start earning. Low upload fees, quick moderation, and steady demand. Here's the process:

1

Create your design in PromptBlox

Describe your clothing idea in PromptBlox. Something like "galaxy tie-dye hoodie" or "pixel art flame shirt." PromptBlox generates the design as a wearable template.

2

Download the template PNG

Click Downloadto save your design as a PNG file. This is the image that wraps around the avatar's body in Roblox.

3

Upload in Roblox Studio

Open Roblox Studio and go to Avatar → Upload T-Shirt (or Shirt/Pants, depending on your item type). Select your PNG file.

4

Set your price

Choose how much to charge. Recommended starting prices:

  • T-shirts: 5-25 Robux
  • Shirts & Pants: 10-50 Robux
5

Submit for moderation

Roblox reviews every item before it goes live. This usually takes under 24 hours. Once approved, your item appears in the marketplace and players can buy it.

Tip:Clothing costs just 10 Robux to upload. You earn 70% of every sale — so a 15 Robux t-shirt pays back the upload fee after just 1 sale.

Selling 3D Accessories

Accessories take more effort and cost more to publish, but they sell for higher prices and stand out more in the marketplace.

1

Create your accessory in PromptBlox

Select Accessory modeand describe what you want. Try "glowing dragon horns" or "steampunk goggles with brass gears."

2

Export as OBJ mesh

Click Export for Marketplace to download your accessory as an OBJ mesh file. This is the 3D model Roblox needs.

3

Import into Roblox Studio

In Roblox Studio, go to File → Import 3D and select your OBJ file. The model loads into your workspace.

4

Fit it to the avatar

Use the Accessory Fitting Tool to position your item on the avatar. Drag it around until it sits exactly where you want it.

5

Set the attachment point

Choose where the accessory attaches: Hat, Back, Neck, Face, Shoulder, etc. This determines how it moves with the avatar.

6

Publish to the marketplace

Set your price and submit. Accessories take a bit longer for moderation since Roblox checks the 3D model quality.

Tip:Accessories cost 300 Robux to upload plus a 1,000-1,500 Robux publishing advance. The advance is returned as your item sells. Your cut ranges from 30-70% per sale — higher-priced items earn a bigger percentage.

Tips for Selling

Follow the trends

Styles that sell well right now: emo/y2k, anime-inspired, pixel art, galaxy/space themes, and minimalist black-and-white designs. Browse the marketplace to see what's popular.

Use descriptive titles

Include keywords players actually search for. "Black Galaxy Hoodie with Stars" beats "Cool Shirt 47." Think about what you'd type if you were looking for your item.

Price competitively

Check what similar items cost on the marketplace before you set your price. Starting lower helps you get those first sales and reviews.

Upload consistently

More items means more chances to sell. Creators who upload regularly build a catalog that earns passively. Even 2-3 new items per week adds up fast.

Common Questions

How old do I need to be to sell on the marketplace?

You need to be at least 13 years old with a verified Roblox account. If you're under 18, you may need a parent's help to set up DevEx (Developer Exchange) to convert Robux to real money.

How long does moderation take?

Clothing is usually reviewed within 24 hours. 3D accessories can take 2-3 days since Roblox checks the mesh quality. If your item gets rejected, you can fix the issue and resubmit.

Can I convert Robux to real money?

Yes, through Roblox DevEx. You need at least 30,000 earned Robux and a verified account. The current exchange rate is roughly $0.0035 per Robux.

What if my item gets rejected?

Roblox will tell you why it was rejected. Common reasons: the image is too low resolution, contains copyrighted material, or has inappropriate content. Fix the issue and resubmit — there's no penalty for rejections.

Do I own the items I create with PromptBlox?

Yes. Designs you create with PromptBlox are yours to sell, modify, and monetize however you want.
