# PromptBlox > PromptBlox is a website where people aged 13 and older describe a Roblox game in plain words, or add a reference picture, and get a Roblox game project they can preview, change in chat and export to Roblox Studio. It is made by PromptBlox, Inc. and is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation. PromptBlox v2.0 was released on 25 September 2026. The facts below were checked on 25 September 2026. If a linked page says something different, the page is more current than this file. A longer version with plan details, answers to common questions and a full page list is at https://promptblox.ai/llms-full.txt. ## Key facts - Age: under the Terms of Service, accounts are for people aged 13 and older. Anyone aged 13 to 18 should have a parent or guardian review the Terms. PromptBlox is not for children under 13. - Starting a build: describe the game (up to 3,000 characters) or add a reference picture, choose a build level, and sign in with a Google, Discord or Roblox account to start. PromptBlox makes one concept image as the visual reference and then builds automatically. There is no step for picking between several concepts or approving a plan. - During the build: the workspace shows live activity and a 3D scene preview, and you can send notes while it builds. An account runs one build at a time. Build time depends on the build level and the size of the idea, and no completion time is promised. - After the build: ask for changes in chat on the same saved project. Earlier versions stay in History. When a stopped build has saved progress, Continue build picks up from it. - Build levels: Light, Medium, High and Ultra. Higher levels put more work into the world and the gameplay, and can use more allowance and take longer. Build levels are not plans, but your plan decides which levels you can choose. - Plans: Free, Lite, Pro, Max, Ultra and Ultra+. Each paid plan has a weekly usage allowance that resets every 7 days, yearly plans included. Larger plans have larger allowances, shown on the pricing page as 2x usage (Pro), 5x (Max), 15x (Ultra) and 30x (Ultra+). Paid plans start at USD 9.99 a month for Lite; current prices are on the pricing page. - Build levels by plan: Free and Lite build at Light. Pro adds Medium. Max adds High. Ultra and Ultra+ add Ultra. - Free plan: Light builds with a small weekly allowance that resets on Monday at 00:00 UTC. Free accounts also share a capacity limit, so free generation can pause for a while even when an account has allowance left. There is no fixed number of free games. - Usage: builds and edits draw on the allowance according to the build level and the work involved. There is no fixed credit price per build. One-time extra credits are used only after the weekly allowance runs out, and unused weekly allowance does not roll over. - Export: every plan, Free included, can download the saved game as an .rbxlx place file with its scripts. Open it in Roblox Studio on a Windows or Mac computer to playtest, fix and publish with File > Publish to Roblox. The browser preview shows the scene; gameplay has to be tested in Roblox Studio. - Publishing from the website: the Share menu also has an optional Publish to Roblox action. It needs a connected Roblox account, a Roblox experience and place that already exist, and your own Roblox Open Cloud API key, and it has hourly limits. Making a game public follows Roblox's own settings and requirements. - Devices: you can create, preview and refine in a web browser, including on a phone, tablet or Chromebook. Roblox Studio needs a Windows or Mac computer. - Sharing: projects stay private until the owner shares them. Publish to Explore runs an automated check of the game's concept image before the game appears in the public gallery. An unlisted snapshot link stays out of Explore and search results. Owners can add their game's Roblox link so Explore shows a Play on Roblox button. - Game ideas: there are no templates and no fixed game types. Any kind of Roblox game can be described and built from scratch, including mixes of genres. Requested mechanics are goals to playtest and refine, not a guaranteed feature list, and the first build is a starting point rather than a finished game. - Items and mods: creating new standalone items (weapons, pets, vehicles and similar) is turned off. Weapons, characters, pets, decorations and cars are built as part of a game instead: describe the object and what it does in the game prompt or a chat edit; cars can be made drivable. Saved items can still be viewed and exported. The mod catalogue was retired in September 2026. ## How PromptBlox is different Checked on 27 September 2026 against the product. - You can watch the build: the 3D world fills in as each piece is finished, a progress bar moves through Concept, Plan, World, Gameplay and Checks, an activity feed says what is happening, and you can send notes while it builds. - It plans, builds and checks in steps rather than writing the game in one go. It sketches a concept picture, plans the world and the gameplay (actions, rules, and win and lose conditions), builds the world piece by piece, then writes the Luau scripts and connects each one to the objects it controls. Automatic checks run before a build can finish: the world must compile into Roblox parts, every object the game needs must exist, and every scripted object must be connected to a real script in the right place. A failed check goes back to the builder to fix. The finished build is ready to test in Roblox Studio; PromptBlox does not playtest it for you. - Game Graph: every saved game has a map of its areas, objects, scripts and spawn points, and of which script drives which object. A chat edit reads the parts of that map it touches instead of rewriting the whole game, and it is held to the areas it plans to change, or to the part of the world you selected. - The game is a saved project, not a one-off download. Every build, edit and save adds a version to History, and you can restore any of the 50 most recent versions on every plan, Free included. - Export is one connected Roblox place file: the world, library models (including drivable cars when a game needs one) and the Luau scripts in the usual Roblox services. The scripts find the parts they control through a helper module, so nothing depends on renaming parts by hand. - PromptBlox is built by its founders, who work on it every day. A general chatbot can write and explain Luau in a chat window, but building the place, adding the scripts and testing is left to the creator in Roblox Studio.
